COVID-19 antigen rapid test (ART), real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), pre-departure test (PDT), via nasopharyngeal swab (NPS) or deep throat saliva (DTS), and serology testing are available here at Shim Clinic.

Please call the Healthcare Institution (HCI) ahead to book an appointment for your swab and to confirm the operating hours once you have obtained approval. HCIs will turn away travelers without approval for a pre-departure swab. You are responsible for checking your testing timeframe, based on your destination country’s requirement.

The accepted age group is from 13 and up.

Only select destination countries allow DTS to be used for COVID-19 real-time RT-PCR testing.

Pricing

The total price for the COVID-19 ART (antigen rapid test) is SG$48/=. The total turnaround time is about 1 hour.

The total price for the non-express COVID-19 real-time RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) PDT (pre-departure test) is SG$110/=. The total turnaround time is about 12-18 hours.

The total price for the express COVID-19 real-time RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) PDT (pre-departure test) is SG$298/=. The total turnaround time is about 3-6 hours.

COVID-19 Real-Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCT) Test

As the COVID-19 pre-departure test (PDT) is time-sensitive, email [email protected] the following items ahead of time for pre-registration:

6. The testing window is referenced to the date & time of: [departure] or [arrival]
7. Departure or arrival in Singapore date & time:
8. The testing window is: [72 hours] or [48 hours]

Note: For the testing window timeframe, some countries take reference to the departure time, whereas some other countries take reference to the destination arrival time. You are responsible to check on this.

From the following table, look up your departure or arrival day of the week & time. Then determine when you need to appear at the clinic for the swab to be done.

Note: If you are scheduled to arrive at the clinic at 1900H, please appear on time, and immediately let the counter know. The specimen dispatch rider has a cutoff time of 2000H for accepting samples.

Upon appearing at the clinic, there is a “Patient Risk Profile Portal” QR code to scan which will lead to a landing page. Select See Doctor . This will lead you to a “DECLARATION FORM” to fill out. It is important you ensure that what you enter is accurate, as this data will be sent directly, and will appear on the Ministry of Health digital certificate emailed to you later. This will then be used at your destination by the immigration officers to clear you for entry into the country.

The lab results will be sent to you via email. It will be verified as issued by healthcerts.moh.gov.sg indicating that the:

• Document has been issued
• Document has not been tampered
• Document’s issuer has been identified

It will be a “MEMO ON RT-PCR RESULT” which will include two QR codes for:

• Offline QR Verification (EU DCC-compatible)
• Online QR verification
